Terms of Use

Rules governing the use of the LumaClient launcher, website and update mechanism.

Last updated: August 8, 2026

1. Key information

LumaClient is an independent Minecraft launcher and is not a product of Mojang Studios or Microsoft. Minecraft, the Minecraft name and related marks belong to their respective owners.

2. Acceptance of the terms

Downloading, installing or using LumaClient means that you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install or use the application.

3. Scope of the service

LumaClient helps manage Minecraft installations, accounts, mod profiles, file downloads and game launching. Some features may depend on third-party services and an internet connection.

4. Accounts and the Minecraft license

  • You are responsible for the security of your Microsoft account and device.
  • Using offline mode does not grant a Minecraft license or access to paid services.
  • You must follow the rules of Microsoft, Xbox, Minecraft and any servers you use.

5. Permitted use

You may not use LumaClient to break the law, bypass security controls, distribute malware, infringe copyright or gain unauthorized access to accounts, servers or other people's data.

6. Mods and external services

Mods and metadata may come from Modrinth and their respective authors. LumaClient does not guarantee the compatibility, safety or continuous availability of every external file. Review a mod's description, license and source before installing it.

7. Updates

The launcher may check a public GitHub repository for new releases and offer to download updates. Updates may change features, appearance, technical requirements or these documents.

8. Availability and liability

The application is provided as currently available. We make reasonable efforts to keep it working, but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every mod or the absence of errors. To the extent permitted by law, the creator is not liable for damage caused by misuse, third-party mods, outages of external services or loss of local data.

9. Intellectual property

The LumaClient code, name, logo and components are protected under their applicable licenses. External libraries, fonts, mods and services retain their own license terms.

10. Changes and contact

These terms may be updated as the project develops. Questions and reports can be submitted through the Discord server or the LumaClient GitHub repository.
